Fast approaching 40, and never having done any strength training, I was determined to feel stronger by the end of the year and my big birthday!
I can honestly say, I’ve NEVER felt better…
Week on week I am increasing reps or the weight, feeling fitter, stronger and WAY more confident.

No one can change anything about your lifestyle but you. You can have that person cheering from the sidelines and that person is Susan. She's been an absolute blessing always keeping me motivated and always checking in and without her I wouldn't have got to where I needed to be. This is a massive change but its a change that's been gradually brought to me and with such great support 👏

I have enjoyed my sessions, though hot and sweaty at the end of each, and will be returning for more in the future.
I trained with Suze for 6 months. In that time, I lost nearly 2 stones and also learned how to weight train and, overall, I became much more confident and motivated. I've had such a brilliant time with Susan and her programme. The exercise sessions are really fun and Susan made sure to tailor them to my level and lifestyle, meaning I could easily fit them into my life. Susan knew exactly when I needed motivation and provided regular feedback that helped me feel confident about the progress I was making.
I feel much fitter, more energetic, and I enjoyed the exercise routines a lot. My general fitness has improved and I no longer shy away from activities for fear of not managing. Following a broken leg in 2021, I think I've regained my strength and confidence. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and reach my goals for the next few months to come!
I cannot recommend working with Susan enough. I came to her when I was at a low point with a daunting task ahead of me. From our first conversation she made me feel better. Her holistic approach made the process very personal to me and my situation.

Suse has changed my life.
I realised the other day that for the first time in my life I feel happy in myself, proud of myself for working at becoming a better version of me, not picking at the rolls, stretch marks, dimples, they're part of me and my own unique story.
I'm far from perfect (who is) but I'm creating a body that is healthier for my child, my husband, my family. So I can be here for them and enjoy every minute we have on this crazy planet.
Show up, look after yourself. No one will do it for you. It's not just a physical thing it's a beautiful mental well-being achievement too, and if there's anyone I could recommend it would be suse for getting me there.
I never thought I would enjoy exercise and still enjoy eating and drinking and living life all at the same time but it really is possible.

I joined Fempower at my absolute lowest. I had put on the most weight I have ever been due to lock down and could not get out of a rut. I decided to bite the bullet and do something about it and I'm glad I did.
Susan helped me find myself again. I found an excercise regime that I loved. Susan is very uplifting and will push you to your goals, I started eating better as this was all part of the regime too, it's not just excercise it's the full package. Woman can be strong too !!

I would highly recommend Susan. She was encouraging and pushed me to my limits. But was also down to earth and did not judge when I had an off week or 2.
She works with what your everyday life is like. Does not give you unrealistic goals.

I was helped to break most of my bad eating habits, I got more active, lost weight and generally felt happier in myself.
There are not enough words to say how brilliant Suse has been. As someone who has a very limited diet, an exhausting 80 hr week job and health issues, it seemed impossible to make progress.
Suse worked around all these problems and never made a big deal of them which helped give me the confidence to push through when I would have given up on my own.
10kg down, stronger, healthier and I still have a little treat everyday!

I learned so much in such a short space of time with Susan. I have gained knowledge in nutrition and strength training.
Susan kept me motivated but was also realistic about how to maintain things and she coached me on how to achieve a balance between still enjoying things like food and drinks but still sticking to the plan in the long run.

From March 2020 I Zoomed with Susan weekly and by the end of lockdown I was stronger and fitter and swam 2km in the pool, not having been in the water for 9 months.
I then went onto two weight training sessions per week and 12 months later I have lost 19kgs, swum 2.5km in Buttermere and I am feeling stronger and fitter than ever.
Susan is remarkably knowledgeable and has an amazing ability to motivate.
If she can do this for a 76 year old man, she can certainly do it for you
I cannot believe the transformation Susan has helped me achieve since I started training with her in the summer.
After losing my job shortly after getting married last year I knew I needed to make changes in all aspects of my life.
Susan has been really encouraging and supportive and has allowed me to make changes in small achievable ways which have accumulated over the months into major positive improvements in my health and wellbeing. I've gone from being overweight and sedentary to a healthy weight with a body which keeps surprising me with how far I can run, how heavy I can lift and how fast I can ski.
April 2015 was when it started. Susan has surpassed any and all expectations I might have had by absolutely miles. The whole package you get with her is brilliant – the nutrition advice, training plan, support, additional sessions and events… I really enjoy learning about the science side of things, so why intervals are different than steady cardio, the different weights and core exercises, the nutrition facts… My eating habits have completely changed: mid-morning and afternoon snacks and protein have become a big part of my life! But I think the most important thing is the enthusiasm and Susan has that in the bucket loads! She knows that I’m a little bit competitive (with myself) and uses that in a good way to push me.
Susan, you actually have changed my life, I know that sounds twee but it’s totally true! I feel significantly better than I did before starting training with you in so many ways.

My experience with Susan has made such a huge difference to my health. I worked with Susan for 5 weeks, before relocating. In such a short period of time, she designed a great fitness plan for me to help improve my strength, tone and fitness.
As part of each stage, I was kept well informed about how these changes would benefit me in the long run, and what I need to do going forward, to continue on the path to a fit and healthy body. Despite reading up on healthy diets in the past I learnt so much more about what works for me.
I was really happy with the outcome of our time together. Not only did I lose centimetres across my whole body, but I also feel much more fit and toned.

I've been working with Susan Kellett for over 5 years now. As an open-water distance swimmer, I need strong arms and shoulders to pull myself through the water efficiently and core strength to position my body correctly. I've seen major improvements in muscle and core strength since I signed on with Susan.
But I don't just train to help with swimming. It keeps me fit as I get older, makes me cheerful and allows me to spend time with my best friend, who is my training partner.
Last, but by no means least, Susan is the best!
Last year I was trying everything to lose weight, different diets, gym and supplements. I would get some results but the weight kept coming back again. I was really stressed and my mood was low. Since joining Pro-Fit and Total Loser, I understand that a nutrition plan and the right exercises are the key to being successful with weight loss!
Now I feel fit, healthy and enjoy the gym more and more than ever before. When I was training before I was doing lots of cardio, but now I know that lifting weights is the key to what I want to achieve and building muscle! I enjoy every moment of life now! I feel like I have learned so much about how to make lifestyle changes for the long term rather than just doing another diet that will see me put my weight back on again!

I was 57 when I started with Susan and, although I was a size 16, I knew I was happy with myself so wasn’t wanting to lose weight as such, just wanting to keep fit, build up stamina, have strong bones and some muscles to show off to my kids! My mum had brittle bones and I knew I didn’t want that and I also knew that resistance training would help to keep my bones strong – I had a bone density scan a couple of years ago and the results showed that there’s no sign of osteoporosis.
I’m now 62 and am stronger than ever! Still the same weight, give or take, but have lost centimetres all over and can run up stairs – no problem! Susan has been brilliant all along with encouragement and support, changing the exercises every 6-8 weeks for variety & maximum effect, and pairing me up with another of her clients as a gym buddy, which has been great as we encourage each other, too.

I have been training with Suse now for 6 weeks and it has been amazing. Her attention to detail and drive to achieve the results you want are mind blowing. I can already feel my body changing and its an amazing feeling when you start to see results and that's all thanks to suse. If you want a PT who is just as invested in your fitness journey as you are she is the one!
I can’t explain how much Susan has seriously changed my life. ‘Old me’ used to go the gym and torture myself through endless hours of cardio. I used to live off carrot sticks and celery in the week and binge out on the weekend putting back on any weight I’d manage to lose.
I am now over 25kg down and have gone from a size 18 to a 10 and I am feeling so much stronger, confident and happier in myself. I have found a new love for weight lifting. I never ever thought I would look forward to training but I actually do!! (who have I become?!)

I started training with Susan almost 4 years ago now, to improve my overall strength and stamina, and in particular upper body strength. Now I do it because I enjoy it and I feel healthier. I had participated in fitness classes but they were not really targeting my needs as a Yoga teacher and in truth I was a bit intimidated about being in a gym environment.
My flexibility has always been good but is now balanced by much improved Strength, and Stamina. This has impacted on my yoga practice, allowing me to maintain stability in standing poses or postures requiring upper body strength and the stamina for more energetic sequences. I was not looking to lose weight but my body shape and composition has altered for the better and my health including my asthma have benefitted.

WHAT CAN I SAY??
I was overweight... tired... lethargic and generally lacking stamina and I felt 80, not 58 and I knew I needed to get fit and needed direction.
Susan changed all that. I signed up, ”hey give it a whirl, try anything once!!” Well 6 months on, here I am LOVING IT ... LOVING IT ... LOVING IT!! I have lost 64.5 cm and 1st 7lbs. I have had 2 holidays... 3 weekends away... Christmas... AND given up smoking in the New Year. I have stopped drinking lager and now drink wine-soda or vodka, lime+soda. I have given up bread as a daily food and use it as a treat. I’ve tweaked my diet and feel Amazing!!!! So much energy now.
I owe all this to Susan. My hero. We train (well... we laugh a lot) We share stories and she genuinely cares. She never makes me feel inadequate or stupid and is so patient with my wittering. She has been such a rock and I can't thank her enough.
For anyone starting on their journey hope this helps, good luck ...I'm hoping to continue mine for a lot longer as you will see a lot of work to do yet!
I have been going to the gym for 2 years now after realising that my weight was out of control and at 176kg (27stone 7lbs).
I had type 2 diabetes, severe disruptive sleep apnoea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and had trouble walking up the stairs.
I thought a PT would be a good idea as I had no idea where to start. Since being with Susan my confidence has gone up. I am now 129kg (20st 3lbs) and the healthiest I have ever been, my sleep apnoea is gone, diabetes is gone, cholesterol is normal and blood pressure is normal. I can run and sprint now, I have been doing strongman training and building lots of muscle and slowly replacing the fat.
I still have a way to go but Susan is there to help me through it all.
When Susan asked me to write a review I really didn't know where to start as there are no words I can use to describe how Susan has changed my life, for the better.
I have been training with Susan for nearly 7 months, at first I wanted to train just to get back into the gym after gaining lots of weight due to a medical disorder. Susan from day one was always one phone call or message away to pick up my spirits and believe.
Before training I had lost so much confidence, belief and was suffering from such bad anxiety. The programme Susan has put into place for me has seen me shed off over 12kg, 6.4% of body fat but what I have gained the most whilst working with Susan is belief, belief in myself, belief in my abilities and that I can achieve anything if I put my mind to it.
I cannot wait to keep this new healthy lifestyle and conquer more challenges and keep pushing my mind and body.
